8. Clean out your online footprint…and refresh your password DB.
Something I’m working on right now, and I’d recommend to others:
Start your password manager and evaluate each service/website for which you have a password entry.
If it’s still useful, generate a new password and change it online.
If not, take the necessary steps to delete that account, and mark the password entry for review the next time you perform this exercise (in a year or less).
If it’s a password entry for a previously-deleted account, try to login to that account again and/or access the corresponding public profile. Verify the account’s really gone, then delete it from your password manager.
