You can follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. First, open the ‘Setting’ application, scroll down, and select ‘Mail, contacts, calendars’.
2. Then, click on ‘Add Account’.
3. Choose the ‘Add mail account’.
4. Then, choose ‘other’. Then, enter the first name & last name in the ‘Name’ options. Enter the Comcast email or password. So, the application can authenticate the email account. On entering all the information, choose Next to continue.
5. Click on the Next option continuously to save the profile. When this is complete, go back to the ‘mail, contacts, and calendars’ option. Now choose the Comcast email service that is not working and as a result, you will see the following steps given on the screen
6. In the ‘Incoming mail server’ option, enter the username & the hostname (Mail.comcast.net) Pick on ‘SMTP’ option
7. Under the ‘Outgoing mail server’, type the username & the hostname as viewed on-screen and Enable the “Use SSL” option and make sure that the server port number is entered ‘587’
8. Now, go back to the Settings page & choose the ‘Advanced’ option. Here, make sure that ‘Use SSL’ is enabled & authentication type is set to ‘Password’
